How To Make Healthy Shamrock Shakes For Dogs | St. Patrick's Day Homemade DIY Dog Treats

How to make shamrock shakes for dogs that are actually healthy for them. The shamrock shake comes out at McDonalds every year around St. Patrick's Day and we thought it would be fun to not only create a dog-friendly version but a dog-friendly version that is actually good for them.

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup of water 
  • 1 cup of plain greek yogurt 
  • 1 cup of ice 
  • 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric 
  • 1/4 teaspoon of green spirulina 
  • 4 mint leaves 
  • 2 egg whites 

 

Products Used:

 

Directions: 

  • Mix together plain greek yogurt and water
  • Add plain greek yogurt and water mixture, ice, turmeric, green spirulina, and mint leaves to a blender and blend together 
  • Using a frother to froth together egg whites until stiff white peaks form (this takes about 3-5 minutes)
  • Top green mixture with egg whites, green spirulina, and a mint leaf

Do not use turmeric if your dog struggles with liver or gallbladder problems
